Since 2006, the universal portable PTU brake test unit has been specially designed to allow automatic testing of UIC freight railway braking systems, directly on bogies of vehicles.
Thanks to its reduced weight and its compactness, this test unit is portable and autonomous. It can be used on the tracks at the foot of the train, or in the workshop.
It meets the standards and specifications of tests IN418 (for locomotives and construction equipment), VPI07, VFO506 SNCF, and UIC543-01.
